Choosing the right lamp and lighting for your home and the different areas of your living space can sometimes seem like a daunting task. A few ways to narrow down your choices include considering the color scheme of the room and complimenting that with the lamp shade or glass colors (color matching and coordination/design and decor issues), considering the needs and utility for which the lighting is needed in the room (functionality of the lamps and lighting), and deciding on overall quantity of wattage and lighting needed for any particular space in the house (quantity of lamps/lighting).
Two other issues that will impact your decisions about lighting for the home, though, will undoubtedly include the manufacturing quality of the lamps, and, cost of the lamps. Often, these two go hand-in-hand. Generally speaking, lamps that are made more meticulously and with higher quality components, that may thus look better or last longer, and/or that are manufactured and sold as brand name quality lighting, will carry the higher price tags. Keep in mind, though, that lamps can go on sale, that inexpensive lamps might suit your needs in certain cases, that moderately priced lamps can also be made of quality materials or look well enough, and that you can only do so much as you can given the budget that you have to work with.
It's very likely that your home will look beautiful with whatever lighting you choose, regardless of the price or manufacturer, simply because it will be reflecting your preferred color schemes, designs, and style. That's the most important thing. YOU should really like what you see as the lighting and lamps in your home. The rest, well... you can always replace things later on when they break. Nothing has a guarantee for lifelong use anyway! Just make sure you smile and enjoy the lighting effects that you choose for your home and you're set!
